Delivering a full charge up to three times faster than a 3-pin socket, home charging points give you the confidence to go the distance every day of the year.
Completely weather-proof and designed to be discrete yet easily accessible, our recommended home charging solutions are professionally installed and approved by the government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV).
KEY BENEFITS OF MAKING THE SWITCH
Compared to the 7 hours it typically takes to charge a vehicle using a 3-pin household socket, home charge points can take as little as 2 hours.
Charging an electric vehicle costs significantly less than refuelling with petrol or diesel. And you can reduce this cost further by charging at home and taking advantage of a cheaper overnight electricity tariff.
Every home charging point from our recommended partners comes smart enabled, meaning you can conveniently activate and deactivate your charging progress straight from your phone.
TETHERING ON YOUR TERMS
Choose between a permanently tethered point or a universal socket to suit your daily needs.
Enjoy the convenience of one permanently-attached cable that keeps your charging routine quick and easy.
The ideal choice if you have multiple plug-in vehicles or guests requiring different cable types.
ESTIMATED CHARGE TIMES
|3-pin domestic plug||3KW home charging point||7KW home charging point|
|Approximate time for full charge||7 hours||4 hours||2 hours|
|Maximum charge rate||2kW||3kW||7kW|
OUR HOME CHARGING PARTNERS
Thanks to our OLEV-approved partners – Pod Point and BP Chargemaster – the installation of your at-home charger is both straightforward and affordable.
The following steps will guide you through the installation of a home charging point subject to an OLEV grant. For installations that are not subject to the grant, they can take place at any time – however we recommend they happen before the delivery of your vehicle.
Your local Land Rover Retailer will take you through a choice of recommended providers.
CONNECT WITH A PROVIDER
Once you've chosen a provider, you'll need to give them some information on your vehicle and property so that they can prepare for your installation. They will apply for your OLEV grant on your behalf.
You'll be given an installation date and time by your provider. The installation of your home charger must take place no more than four months before the delivery of your vehicle.
If you’re planning on adding a home charging point or charging on the move, you may require an additional multi-function or public charging cable.
