As the world’s first luxury SUV, Range Rover has been a celebrated vehicle in the Land Rover fleet since its reveal in 1970. Range Rover is and always has been the epitome of refined capability. Our most iconic, luxurious and comfortable vehicles have evolved over the years, and our revolutionary addition, Range Rover Velar, showcases our most innovative design yet. Here’s how the new vehicle fits into the existing range.

      Celebrated Design

A true design icon, Range Rover is the largest model in the range. As with Range Rover Sport, it’s now offered with our first ever PHEV powertrain, offering up to 31 miles^ of electric-only zero emissions range. The standard wheelbase model measures 5000mm in length and is 121mm longer than Range Rover Sport, while the long wheelbase model measures 5200mm and offers rear passengers 186mm of additional legroom. Range Rover’s iconic silhouette is gently tapered and curved for a streamlined, thoughtfully designed look that reflects its status at the top of the range.

      The Definitive Luxury SUV

Range Rover is also the most comfortable and luxurious vehicle in a range known for its refined capability. Its air suspension is so smooth, even the bumpiest off-road terrains feel effortlessly relaxed. With state of the art technology now adopted from Range Rover Velar, Range Rover is the pinnacle of refinement with the option of Executive Class Rear Seating and heated, cooled or even massage seat features for you and your passengers. Soft close doors are also available on this vehicle, adding to its offering of luxurious comfort.

October 2017 saw the announcement of a Range Rover revolution. New Range Rover Sport became the first Land Rover vehicle available with Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) Technology. The new Range Rover Sport hybrid combines a 2.0litre Ingenium petrol engine with an 85kW electric motor, providing up to 101mpg in Parallel Hybrid mode as well as up to 31 miles^ of range in electric-only mode.

Our most agile and dynamic Range Rover, it offers an unrivalled driving experience. With fully adjustable air suspension and an intelligent four-wheel drive system, the vehicle demonstrates excellent off-road capabilities but also handles dynamically on road, with effortless speed as well as responsiveness from features such as Dynamic Response and Torque Vectoring.

The Next Revolution in SUV Design

Our most revolutionary Range Rover yet, the New Range Rover Velar sits between Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport in terms of size: At 4,803mm long, the vehicle is 47mm shorter than Range Rover Sport and 433mm longer than Evoque. Velar’s sleek lines are a masterclass in design reductionism. The vehicle’s flush deployable door handles enhance its simple, elegant exterior, and are a first for Land Rover. The option of sustainable Premium Textile and Suedecloth seats as an alternative to leather further places this vehicle at the forefront of cutting-edge automotive design.

      New Levels of Technology

What really stands out about Range Rover Velar is its seamlessly integrated use of technology. Its Touch Pro Duo Infotainment System, offering two 10" touchscreens, is the first of its kind. It allows you much greater flexibility – for example, before you set off you can plan your journey on the navigation system in the upper screen whilst simultaneously choosing which song to play next in the lower screen.**

The vehicle’s exterior is just as state of the art as its interior with optional Matrix LED headlights. These include Intelligent High Beam Assist, which detects oncoming vehicles, creating ‘shadows’ around them so you can enjoy high beam illumination whilst reducing the potential dazzling risk to other drivers. You also have the option of Laser High Beam, which offers 550m of illumination and a quality of light close to daylight whilst driving.

Range Rover Evoque Landmark Edition with optional features, global specifications.

A True Range Rover in Compact Form

Our iconic compact SUV, Range Rover Evoque offers the look and feel of Range Rover on a smaller scale than Velar. Evoque is just as at home off-road as it is on tight city roads and in small parking spaces. It’s also the only Range Rover available as a convertible. In 2017, we released the Evoque Landmark Edition to mark a notable milestone in Evoque’s history. Not only is Evoque the winner of 200 awards worldwide, we have now built 600,000 in just six years. The Landmark Edition’s special features include three striking colour options, such as Moraine Blue pictured above. It also features a dynamic body kit, Graphite Atlas design details and a Carpathian Grey contrast panoramic roof.

**All in-car features should be used by drivers only when safe for them to do so. Drivers must ensure they are in full control of the vehicle at all times.

^EV range figures are based upon production vehicle over a standardised route. Range achieved will vary dependent on vehicle and battery condition, actual route and environment and driving style.
