Dogs have been part of the Goodwood story ever since the first Duke of Richmond acquired the estate in 1697. A century later, the third Duke commissioned what was then the most advanced kennel in the world, complete with central heating – ten years before Goodwood House itself.
Today, that legacy lives on in spectacular fashion through Goodwoof, the world’s most stylish celebration of canine companionship.
Thousands of dogs and their owners descend on The Kennels and surrounding parkland every year for a weekend of curated experiences. Goodwoof has something for every kind of dog lover. Favourites like the Ministry of Hound dog disco and Barkitecture – a kennel design competition featuring creations by top architects – return to delight crowds again.
At the main Discovery stand, guests will be treated to live caricature sketches for their dogs, have a chance to get up and close with the latest addition to the Discovery line-up, and explore the new Discovery pet collection, featuring chew toys, bowls, and dog beds.
Pick up a Discovery Explorer Trail map, packed with photo ops, hydration stations, and even a stick library. Finish the trail, collect the stickers, and return to us to collect a reward.
Book a space for you and your dog on the Discovery Drive Experience at the Halnaker Chalk Pit for a thrilling self-drive over natural terrain.
Owners will enjoy priority parking and access to exclusive hospitality. Join us for a moment of relaxation and complimentary refreshments.
More than an event, Goodwoof is a celebration of where we’ve come from, where we’re headed, and the bond between people and their dogs.
