Jaguar Land Rover has established a comprehensive plan to meet End of Life Vehicle (ELV) legislation within the United Kingdom.
The UK End-of-Life Vehicles Regulations 2003 requires motor vehicle manufacturers and importers to take back all on-sale vehicles and vehicle batteries (regardless of the date of a vehicle´s first registration) at the end of their life, ensuring that they are treated in an environmentally responsible manner.
The UK Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009 requires all battery producers in the UK to take back automotive and industrial batteries and to dispose of them free of charge.
Jaguar Land Rover is registered as a Producer of Batteries under Registration Number BPRN00706.
