• Land Rover celebrated adventure, capability and performance at Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2016, which took place from 23rd to 26th June. Read on to find out five things that happened over the weekend and see some of the best shots from our show stand.

      1. RANGE ROVER EVOQUE CONVERTIBLE TOOK CENTRE STAGE

      Range Rover Evoque Convertible was the focal point of our show, making its Goodwood debut ahead of going on sale in the UK in July. Festival of Speed guests were able to get up close to the vehicle to take in the new design as well as try out the Z-folding roof and InControl Touch Pro system.

      2. THE OFF-ROAD COURSE DROVE GUESTS TO NEW HEIGHTS

      The Off-Road Course - a Goodwood guest favourite - returned to the Festival of Speed. Attendees had a chance to witness Land Rover's off-road capabilities first-hand and experience adventure for themselves. The course was comprised of a variety of challenges including:

      Turntable Terrain Trailer. Allowing riders to experience adventure at 180 degrees. The ride tilted the driver and passengers to one side and then allowed them to articulate off the equipment.

      The Twin Terrapod. Elevating passengers inside the vehicle to 5.7m in the air using hydraulic systems, exhibiting Land Rover's capability on sharp drops.

      The Wade Pool. Showcasing the extreme depths of water a Land Rover is capable of driving through.

      3. RANGE ROVER SPORT SVR SHOWCASED SPECIAL VEHICLE OPERATIONS' SKILFULNESS

      The Range Rover Sport SVR - the fastest car we've ever built - drew crowds at this year's Festival of Speed. The ultimate blend of luxury and performance, this model was designed and engineered by our Special Vehicle Operations division and boasts a top speed of 162mph.       4. GUESTS VIRTUALLY EXPERIENCED BEING IN LAND ROVER BAR

      Guests of the Land Rover stand got a chance to find out what it takes to be a competitive sailor. Our Land Rover Ben Ainslie Racing virtual experience allowed attendees to get on board the BAR boat, discover what it's like to manoeuvre the sails and even drive with Ben Ainslie's guidance.

    • 5. RANGE ROVER SVAUTOBIOGRAPHY DISPLAYED EXTRAORDINARY CRAFTSMANSHIP

      Range Rover SVAutobiography stood proudly in the Special Vehicle Operations section of our stand. Guests were able to get up close and experience the unique exterior enhancements and exquisite trim finishes and leathers.
