JAGUAR LAND ROVER IS CREATING TECHNOLOGY WITH HEART

‘Technology with Heart’ is the theme of Jaguar Land Rover’s inaugural Tech Fest, an event that explores the positive role that technology is playing in reshaping the automotive industry and beyond.

The free-to-enter festival takes place at the internationally recognised Central Saint Martins art, design and technology college in London. It is open to the general public from Friday, 8th September until Sunday, 10th September.

The event will be packed full of innovative exhibits and interactive displays that demonstrate how technology is being used to make a positive difference. Attendees can fast forward into the future and take a glimpse into a world where cars drive themselves and vehicles are shared, not owned.

In the spirit of collaborative innovation essential to the success of future business, Jaguar Land Rover has invited an array of speakers to take part in a series of debates and talks throughout the event. Topics will include the future of diesel, electrification, women in industry and robotics, debated by a range of global industry and consumer experts from around the world.

Speaking at the opening of Tech Fest 2017, Jaguar Land Rover Chief Executive Officer Dr Ralf Speth said: “At Jaguar Land Rover we are shaping the mobility revolution. Go above and beyond and explore new adventures in a Land Rover. You can make more of your world. Autonomous. Connected. Electric. Shared. Technology with heart. This is the future.”

The figures provided are as a result of official manufacturer's tests in accordance with EU legislation. A vehicle's actual fuel consumption may differ from that achieved in such tests and these figures are for comparative purposes only.

The figures provided are NEDCeq calculated from official manufacturer’s WLTP tests in accordance with EU legislation. For comparison purposes only. Real world figures may differ. CO2 and fuel economy figures may vary according to wheel fitment and optional extras fitted. NEDCeq are figures calculated using a Government formula from WLTP figures equivalent to what they would have been under the old NEDC test. The correct tax treatment can then be applied.

The figures provided are WLTP. WLTP is the new official EU test used to calculate standardised fuel consumption and CO2 figures for passenger cars. It measures fuel, energy consumption, range and emissions. This is designed to provide figures closer to real-world driving behaviour. It tests vehicles with optional equipment and with a more demanding test procedure and driving profile.

TEL (Test Energy Low) and TEH (Test Energy High) figures are shown as a range under WLTP testing measures. TEL refers to the lowest/most economical figures (with the lightest set of options). TEH refers to the highest/least economical figures (with the heaviest set of options). WLTP legislation dictates that where there is <5g CO2 variance between TEL and TEH, only the TEH is declared.
