Land Rover were a Principal Partner of the British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand 2017. Land Rover shares a renowned rugby heritage with the British & Irish Lions and is proud to have supported them for more than 20 years. Through the continuation of our ‘We Deal in Real’ campaign, Land Rover celebrated the game’s grassroots and rewarded those who give so much each week, with unforgettable British & Irish Lions experiences. This included the chance to win the trip of a lifetime to join the Lions tour, as well as the opportunity to ‘Lead The Lions’ to the test match stadiums.

To give rugby fans a unique insight into the Lions tour, Land Rover and The British & Irish Lions produced an exclusive video series - ‘Tracking The Lions’. Through the help of its ambassadors, Land Rover gave viewers the chance to hear from players who have pulled on the famous jersey, both past and present, about what it means to be a Lion and provided exclusive insight into life on tour.

Land Rover were extremely proud to have five ambassadors representing the British & Irish Lions in New Zealand; George North, James Haskell, Sam Warburton, Leigh Halfpenny and Owen Farrell. Following a captivating 1-1 series draw, skipper Sam Warburton will go down in history as one of the great Lions captains, having also led the Lions to victory in Australia in 2013.
