SAFETY AND SECURITY
Honed after years of computer analysis and testing, Range Rover Sport can claim reassuringly advanced safety features. A network of active safety aids constantly monitor performance and take appropriate measures when necessary.
Eight airbags
Range Rover Sport features eight airbags, with the front row having side thorax and front airbags. Each seat row also has its own curtain airbags. The vehicle displays real strength in impact tests, thanks to its hydroformed frame design and advanced engineering.
Integrated body-frame™
We´ve integrated the body and chassis to form a construction that is much stronger and stiffer than a conventional chassis. This in turn enables safer, more precise handling.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Active Roll Mitigation (ARM)
These two technologies assist safety while cornering. Active Roll Mitigation (ARM) predicts when the vehicle may become light on one side in a fast corner and helps stabilise the vehicle with the braking system. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) constantly monitors key indicators, correcting any tendency to over-steer or under-steer.

Range Rover Sport adds a cockpit feel to the characteristic Land Rover Command driving position. The raised seat lets you see potential hazards well ahead of time, and an improved view of all four corners of the vehicle really helps while parking.

Alarm and immobiliser

A comprehensive array of anti-theft measures include:

- Engine management system immobiliser
- Ultrasonic volumetric detection to protect against break-ins
- Perimetric detection system triggers the alarm if someone tries to open the tailgate, bonnet or any of the doors
- Deadlocks inhibit the operation of interior door handles when locked
