Key to Discovery 3´s strength, safety and outstanding on-road and off-road dynamics is the Integrated Body-frame™. A Land Rover patented technology, it delivers more comfort, refinement and on-road attributes than a monocoque design, and sets new standards for off-road performance.
 
Other features include:
- Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
- Electronic Brake Assist (EBA) - supplying extra brake pressure in an emergency
- Electronic Traction Control (ETC) - helping maintain optimum grip
- Optional Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) - warning you of low tyre pressure

Eight airbags
Up to eight airbags are fitted: the front seats have both front and side airbags with each seat row having its own curtain airbags.

Integrated Body-frame™
We´ve integrated the body and chassis to form a construction that is much stronger and stiffer than a conventional chassis. This in turn enables safer, more precise handling and ensures Discovery 3 can pass the most stringent crash safety tests.

Command driving position
The higher perspective of the Land Rover Command driving position gives you the advantage of spotting hazards – such as motorway queues – well ahead of time. You´ll also be able to park with confidence thanks to your improved view of all four corners of the vehicle.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Active Roll Mitigation (ARM)
These systems work with the braking system to correct cornering (over or understeer) and to help maintain stability at all times.

Adaptive headlights
These optional, powerful Bi-xenon lamps can move left, right, up or down in reaction to the vehicle´s speed, pitch and steering angle. This ability can be used to counteract the effects of hard braking, for instance, or when turning into bends so that the road surface and any hazards are properly illuminated.

Alarm and immobiliser
A comprehensive array of anti-theft measures incorporates:

- Engine management system immobiliser
- Ultrasonic volumetric detection to protect the interior against smash-and-grab style break-ins
- Perimetric detection system to alert attempts to open the boot, bonnet or any of the doors
- Deadlocks to inhibit interior door handles once the vehicle has been locked.
