Discovery 3 Triumphs Again at Towcar Awards

For the second year running, the Land Rover Discovery 3 has scooped the ´Best Towcar over 1900kgs´ award at the Practical Caravan, What Car? and the Camping & Caravanning Club Towcar Awards 2008.

The Discovery 3 has a class-leading towing capacity of 3500kgs and combined with permanent four-wheel drive, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), rear park distance control, Air suspension, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Assist, and Terrain Response™ it proved unbeatable amongst other competition.

Gaydon, Warwickshire, 18 December 2007 – The Land Rover Discovery 3 has been voted the best 4x4 of 2007 by Planet 4x4 magazine, taking its winning total to 97 international awards since launch.

"With the top three overall places in 2006 and a clean sweep of class awards this year, Land Rover is getting it right at just about every level. One tester after another was wowed by the Range Rover´s class, the Sport´s style and the Discovery´s practicality," said editor Alan Kidd.

PLANET 4x4 ´Britain´s Most Practical 4x4 Discovered´ – 2007

Gaydon, Warwickshire, 12 October 2007 – The Land Rover Discovery 3 has been named Britain´s most practical 4x4 in a test conducted by Planet 4x4 Magazine.

Editor Alan Kidd said: "This is probably the most intense scrutiny a group of 4x4s has ever been put under. Our testers crawled all over each of the 38 vehicles, examining every last detail... There are some incredibly clever packaging solutions out there – but nothing to beat the Discovery 3."
