PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Land Rover’s reputation off-road has been earned through decades of application, dedication and development. With instructors trained in-house to our exacting standards, our network of Land Rover Experience Centres offer a unique opportunity to learn with the best in the business. Our experienced teams deliver intensive, accredited training courses for drivers of any level.

We use the latest Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles and are able to train in other manufacturer’s vehicles if required.

Land Rover Experience Centres are one-stop training providers offering specially developed courses and exercises designed to demonstrate, practice and test vehicle control techniques. Expert instructors offer bespoke training to suit specific business or equipment requirements and all budgets. We can also provide training at a site of your choice upon request.

Organisations using Land Rover-approved experts and world-class training facilities can be assured that their people are receiving professional training to the highest standards, meeting all certification requirements.

Training matters

Training is a legal requirement for people who drive a 4x4 for business and professional purposes. Land Rover’s Professional training gives staff more confidence, making them safer, more effective and productive. It also reduces downtime, running costs and absence.

Understand the law

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) require that equipment provided for use at work is suitable, safe, well-maintained and used only by people with adequate training and safety equipment. This includes: motor vehicles, 4x4s, winches, trailers, recovery equipment and ATVs.

Corporate responsibility

Professionally trained drivers are safer: for themselves, your organisation and others. Most companies train their staff using certified courses that are recognised by the Health & Safety Executive. Appropriate certified training is also often an insurance requirement.

“With so much technology and know-how built into Land Rovers, the most important upgrade remains driver training. Our professional courses show you how to access the full capability of our 4x4s, improving safety and preserving the environment.”   Jeremy Hicks, Managing Director, Land Rover UK

Trailer Handling

Land Rover Experience provides bespoke training for handling trailers of any kind. The course covers the legalities of trailer handling, loading, towing, emergency stops and stability on the move.

Vehicle Recovery

This course covers on-road and off-road principles of vehicle recovery. Learn how to practically apply a wide range of rope and strap techniques for self and third party vehicle recovery.

An advanced course is also available, equipping you with extensive hands-on experience of vehicle recovery techniques. For example, the use of an invaluable Kinetic Energy Rope and the use of air jacks and high lift jacks for extricating more severely stranded vehicles.

Winching

A winch can be the ultimate off-road tool and, in some terrains, essential for progress. Learn how to check, prepare, maintain and use a winch during this one-day course.
